101 Things - Revisited

Two years ago, I created my initial 101 Things to do in 1001 days list, and I'm charting my progress as I enter the final stretch.....

LIKELY TO FINISH

~ For better or worse, I can do all these things. It may cost me, but these are things I'm committed to doing despite the cost. Maybe someone can help me out. Somebody? Anybody?
7. Learn to hand dance
8. Go to a Frankie Beverly and Maze Concert
9. Really go natural!
11. Volunteer for 6 months
21. Become a member of the The High, Georgia Aquarium, Fernbank and/or National Black Arts Festival
31. Have my car detailed
32. Update and maintain my address book
40. Try false eyelashes
41. Quit cussing for a week
47. Get a full Brazilian wax
58. Blog every other day for a month
68. Prepare for my next job search
70. Daily devotional to strengthen my relationship with God
71. Write a "Letter to the Editor"
81. Spend a weekend in bed -- with someone
85. Articulate my values, my vision, philosophy of live, love, learning
92. Buildup and refrain from touching my emergency fund!
96. Pose nude for a professional photo session or sketch
97. Next time I hit Vegas, go to Cirque de Soleil
101. In 2009, analyze my successes and failures and create a NEW 101 Things in 1001 Days List by September 28


NOT EVEN GONNA HAPPEN
~ I've lost interest in a number of these things, and others, well....money is also a factor so a good number I cannot afford to do in the remaining days, but they may be on the next 101 things list.
1. Go to a Dallas Cowboys Game in Texas Stadium
10. Visit Alaska
17. Visit Connecticut
22. Have anonymous and NSA relations in a swanky hotel
38. Take salsa dance lessons and practice in a club at least once a week
61. Own all my favorite books and movies
62. Finish my family genealogy
65. Take a trip to the African Continent
69. Go to a live concert/see a live band once a month
73. Have someone buy me a Liberator
79. Go to NBA All-Star Weekend
90. Write a successful/funded proposal
94. Take a trip to Canada


MIRACLES CAN OCCUR
~ Per chance any of these things get accomplished, I'll be shocked. I want to, but is it feasible? Realistic? These will definitely be on the next list if I don't surprise myself!

4. Visit the Clinton Library in Little Rock, Arkansas
6. Get back to a size 10
15. Regain my proficiency in Spanish
29. Get my nipples pierced
34. Dance on top of a bar
35. Write a letter to Derek
37. Go on a cruise
48. Visit Hershey, PA and go to the Chocolate Spa
54. Go fishing
57. Learn how to play cards (Spades, Bid Whist, etc.)
72. Do a family genealogy scrapbook
74. Buy myself an expensive piece of jewelry every year
77. Complete a Top 10 Favorite Things list
82. Hit the driving range every weekend for a season
83. Strengthen my relationship with my relatives in GA
87. Attend a March Madness Basketball game
88. Record my family members for oral history
95. Complete the Nike 5K running plan and run a 5K

I admire your motivation/imagination to come up with 1001 things in the first place. My mantra has always been, "Do one thing today." That way I can always succeed and I don't beat myself up over the stuff I haven't done yet.

Then I always have that one big thing I'm working on. Right now it's the next book...LOL
